Ingredients

Fruit Ingredients
  • 4 cups fresh watermelon chunks Ensure the watermelon is chilled.
  • 1 cup mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries) Can be substituted with other berry varieties.
  • 1 cup cherries, pitted and halved Add more cherries for a sweeter taste.
Dressing Ingredients
  • 2 tablespoons honey Substitute with agave syrup for a vegan option.
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice Can be replaced with lime juice.
Garnish
  • Mint leaves Optional for garnish.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, combine the watermelon chunks, mixed berries, and halved cherries. Stir gently until the fruits are just mixed, taking care not to break the chunks.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the honey and fresh lemon juice until well combined, about 1 minute.
Combine
  1. Drizzle the honey-lemon dressing over the prepared fruit salad, using a spatula to gently toss and coat the fruits evenly in the dressing.
  2. If desired, garnish the fruit salad with fresh mint leaves.
  3. Serve the watermelon fruit salad chilled for the best experience.

Notes

To store leftovers, place in an airtight container and refrigerate. Consume within 2-3 days. Freezing is not recommended due to the high water content of watermelon.
