  • 4 cups Lettuce (romaine or iceberg) Choose romaine for flavor or iceberg for classic crunch.
  • 1 cup Tomatoes (diced) Fresh is preferred but canned works too.
  • 1 cup Cheddar cheese (shredded) Opt for sharp cheddar for more flavor.
  • 1/2 cup Sour cream Adds creaminess and a tangy finish.
Optional Ingredients
  • 1 cup Chicken (diced, optional) A great addition for variety.
  • 1 cup Bell peppers (sliced) Roast them beforehand for extra flavor.
  • 1 cup Onions (sautéed) Sweet or red onions sautéed for warmth.
  • 2 tbsp Cream cheese (optional) Provides a luscious twist.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Heat your skillet over medium-high heat while seasoning the steak with taco seasoning.
  2. Add the seasoned steak to the skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side until browned. Let rest for a few minutes once done.
Assembly
  1. Layer fresh lettuce, sliced steak, diced tomatoes, and shredded cheddar cheese in a bowl.
  2. Top with a dollop of sour cream.

  1. Sauté sliced chicken with bell peppers and onions in a separate skillet.
  2. Cook them for about 6-7 minutes until the chicken is golden and cooked through.
  3. Plate the chicken stir-fry over lettuce with a dollop of cream cheese on top.
