Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 160°C (320°F).
  2. Melt the butter over low heat and allow it to cool.
  3. Whisk together the eggs and sugar until pale and fluffy (about 3-5 minutes).
  4. Add the cooled melted butter and vanilla extract to the egg mixture and stir until fully blended.
  5. Sift in the flour and salt, folding gently until the batter is smooth.
  6. Gradually pour in the milk, mixing continuously until the batter is well combined.
  7. Pour the batter into a greased baking dish and level it.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 40-50 minutes until golden and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  2. Allow the cake to cool in the dish for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

Use room temperature ingredients for the best texture. Don’t overmix the batter.
