Preparation
- Preheat the air fryer to 350 degrees F.
- In a large bowl, combine the yogurt, flour, and sea salt. Stir until everything is mixed, then use your hands to shape it into a ball.
- Transfer the dough onto a floured surface and knead it until it's smooth. If the dough is sticky, add more flour.
- Divide the dough into 4 pieces, roll each into a ball, and lightly press down to flatten.
- Make a hole in the center of each flattened dough ball and gently stretch the hole.
- Brush each bagel with the whisked egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds or everything bagel seasoning if desired.
Cooking
- Line the air fryer basket with parchment paper. Place the bagels seed side down, maybe in batches if needed.
- Air fry the bagels for 8 minutes, flip them, and cook for another 8 minutes.
- Once done, remove them from the air fryer, let cool for 5 minutes, and enjoy with your favorite toppings.
Notes
Store any leftover bagels in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days. For longer storage, freeze them for up to 2 months after wrapping them in plastic wrap.
