Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, creamy peanut butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth and fluffy. Scrape the sides of the bowl to incorporate everything nicely.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, ensuring each one is mixed fully before adding the next. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the peanut butter mixture until just combined.
- Gently fold in the chopped Reese’s cups, peanut butter chips, and optional chocolate chips.
- Drop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, leaving space for spread.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
- Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.
Notes
Ensure ingredients are at room temperature for perfect blending. Avoid overbaking, as cookies will firm up while cooling. Chill the dough for extra tender cookies.
