  • 1 package Wonton wrappers
  • 1 pound Ground pork
  • 2 each Green onions, chopped Plus extra for garnish
  • 3 tablespoons Soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Grated ginger
  • 2 cloves Minced garlic
  • 1 cup Water For steaming
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame oil
  • 1 cup Cheese (optional) For topping

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground pork, chopped green onions, soy sauce, grated ginger, minced garlic, and sesame oil. Mix well until everything is evenly incorporated.
  2. Preheat your steamer according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  3. Layer the wonton wrappers in a baking dish, adding a generous layer of the pork filling. Continue layering until all ingredients are used, typically 3-4 layers.
  4. Pour a little water over the top to create steam, which keeps the lasagna moist during cooking.
Cooking
  1. Cover the dish tightly with foil and place it in the steamer. Steam for about 30 minutes, or until the pork is thoroughly cooked.
  2. (Optional) Sprinkle cheese on top during the last 5-7 minutes of steaming for a gooey finish.
  3. Carefully remove from the steamer and serve hot.

Notes

For optimal flavor, serve hot and consider pairing with a refreshing side salad or steamed vegetables. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days, or frozen for up to 2 months.
