Preparation
- In a large bowl, combine the ground pork, chopped green onions, soy sauce, grated ginger, minced garlic, and sesame oil. Mix well until everything is evenly incorporated.
- Preheat your steamer according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Layer the wonton wrappers in a baking dish, adding a generous layer of the pork filling. Continue layering until all ingredients are used, typically 3-4 layers.
- Pour a little water over the top to create steam, which keeps the lasagna moist during cooking.
Cooking
- Cover the dish tightly with foil and place it in the steamer. Steam for about 30 minutes, or until the pork is thoroughly cooked.
- (Optional) Sprinkle cheese on top during the last 5-7 minutes of steaming for a gooey finish.
- Carefully remove from the steamer and serve hot.
Notes
For optimal flavor, serve hot and consider pairing with a refreshing side salad or steamed vegetables. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days, or frozen for up to 2 months.
