Main Ingredients
  • 1 package instant ramen (preferably Nong Shim, Samyang, or any Korean brand - without the seasoning pack)
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes, or to taste
  • 2 teaspoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 egg lightly beaten
  • 1 teaspoon Everything Bagel Seasoning, or to taste Optional garnish
  • 1 stalk scallion, sliced Optional garnish

Method
 

Cooking
  1. Cook the noodles according to package instructions. Drain most of the water, leaving 1-2 tablespoons in with the noodles to prevent drying out.
  2. Melt butter in a pan over medium heat. Add garlic and red pepper flakes and stir until the garlic is soft—about 1 minute.
  3. Add the brown sugar and soy sauce. Stir until the sugar is dissolved.
  4. Add the cooked noodles and toss to coat with the sauce. Push the noodles to the side to give space for the egg.
  5. Add the slightly beaten egg and scramble until cooked to your desired doneness. Mix the egg and noodles to combine.
  6. Serve in a bowl with Everything Bagel seasoning sprinkled on top. Enjoy!

Notes

Serve hot with optional sliced scallions. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for about 1-2 days. Reheat with a splash of water.
