Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 small pumpkin 5-6 inches tall, for carving
  • tortilla chips for serving
  • 2 cups guacamole store-bought or homemade

Equipment

  • Pumpkin carving knife or serrated kitchen knife
  • Large platter or tray

Method

  1. Slice a small section off the bottom of the pumpkin to stabilize it. Carve out a wide-open mouth and fun eyes, removing the seeds and pulp inside.
  2. Place the pumpkin on a large platter, slightly tilted forward so the mouth faces downward.
  3. Spoon the guacamole so it spills from the pumpkin’s mouth, creating a 'vomiting' effect.
  4. Surround the guacamole with tortilla chips for dipping. Optionally add Halloween-themed decorations for flair.
  5. Serve chilled or at room temperature. Enjoy the spooky fun!

Notes

To prevent browning, store guacamole with plastic wrap directly on the surface. You can prep the pumpkin a day ahead and assemble just before serving. Guacamole is best enjoyed fresh and doesn’t freeze well.
