Preparation
- Mince the garlic.
- In a pan over medium heat, brown the ground beef with the garlic until cooked (no pink remains).
- Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the can of mushroom soup. Season with salt and pepper.
- Lightly grease a 9x13 inch pan.
- Layer the meat mixture at the bottom, sprinkle on the grated cheese, and add the frozen tater tots on top.
Baking
- Bake at 350 degrees F (177 degrees C) for 35-40 minutes until the tater tots are golden brown and crispy.
- Top with chives or other fresh herbs, and serve warm.
Notes
Serve Tater Tot Casserole while it’s hot, right out of the oven. This dish goes well with a simple green salad, garlic bread, or steamed vegetables for a complete meal. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for 3-4 days.
