Preparation
- Preheat your oven and prepare a loaf pan.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, combine the melted butter, vegetable oil, sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Whisk until mixed well.
- Add in the mashed bananas and stir.
Mixing
- Add the dry ingredients and chocolate chips to the wet mixture. Mix until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
Baking
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
- Bake in the center of your preheated oven for 50 to 60 minutes, or until a skewer inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- If the loaf is browning too quickly, cover the top loosely with aluminum foil and keep baking until done.
- Allow the bread to cool in the pan until slightly warm or at room temperature before slicing and serving.
Notes
Great on its own or served with butter or cream cheese. Pairs wonderfully with coffee or tea.
