  • 1 large egg

For Frosting

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another large bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the egg, vanilla extract, and almond extract.
  5. Gradually blend in the dry ingredients until just combined.
  6. Spread the dough evenly in the prepared baking dish.
Baking
  1. Bake for about 20-25 minutes or until the edges are light golden brown.
  2. Allow to cool completely in the pan.
Frosting and Serving
  1. Frost with buttercream frosting and cut into bars.
