Ingredients
  

For the Strawberry Mixture
  • 1 oz 1 1-oz bag freeze dried strawberries Can substitute with pre-packaged dried strawberry powder.
  • 1/3 cup 1/3 cup powdered sugar Ensure it mixes well with the strawberry powder.
For the Base
  • 4 cups 4 cups rice or corn Chex cereal Choose based on preference.
  • 1 cup 1 cup white chocolate chips Use dairy-free chocolate chips for a dairy-free version.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Place the freeze-dried strawberries in a food processor and chop them until you have a fine powder.
  2. In a bowl, combine the strawberry powder and powdered sugar. Mix well until the color is uniform.
  3. Pour the mixture into a 1-gallon freezer bag and seal it tightly.
Melting Chocolate
  1. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the white chocolate chips in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until fully melted.
Mixing Ingredients
  1. In a large bowl, fold the melted chocolate into the Chex cereal, making sure each piece is coated without crushing them.
  2. Transfer the coated cereal to the bag with the strawberry mixture. Gently toss to coat all the cereal.
Setting
  1. Spread the mix out on a baking sheet and refrigerate it for 15 minutes to let the chocolate set.
Serving
  1. Store the finished puppy chow in an airtight container and enjoy as a sweet snack.

Store in an airtight container for about one week. Keep in a cool, dry place to maintain its crunchy texture. Tips include ensuring chocolate is fully melted and mixing the powders well for an even coating.
