Ingredients
  

For the dessert
  • 1 quart strawberries, sliced Fresh strawberries for layering
  • 1.5 jars pistachio cream (10.5 oz each) Adjust amount to taste
  • 1 package frozen konafah/kataifi dough (17.6 oz)
  • 2 tablespoons salted butter For cooking konafah
  • to taste salt For seasoning konafah
  • 1 bar milk chocolate or chocolate chips For melting and layering
  • to taste chopped pistachios For garnish

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large skillet or deep pot, melt the butter over medium/low heat.
  2. Add the chopped konafah dough in batches and cook for 15-20 minutes, stirring often to avoid burning.
  3. Once browned, transfer the konafah to a paper towel-lined dish and sprinkle with salt.
  4. Mix the toasted konafah with the pistachio cream, adjusting the amount of cream to taste.
  5. Melt the chocolate in a double boiler.
Assembly
  1. In a cup or bowl, layer sliced strawberries, the konafah and pistachio mixture, melted chocolate, and chopped pistachios. Repeat layers as desired.

Notes

Serve the dessert in clear cups or bowls to showcase the beautiful layers. Garnish with extra chopped pistachios or whole strawberries on top for decoration. Best enjoyed immediately for the crunching texture.
