Preparation
- Preheat your skillet over medium-high heat to ensure a perfect sear on your pork chops.
- In a small bowl, combine paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper. Stir until mixed well.
- Generously rub the spice mixture all over each pork chop, making sure to coat all sides thoroughly.
Cooking
- Add olive oil to the skillet, letting it heat until shimmering but not smoking.
- Carefully add the seasoned pork chops to the skillet. Sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until the external surface is golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 145°F.
- Once cooked through, remove the chops from the skillet and let them rest for a few minutes before slicing.
Notes
For best results, take the pork chops out of the fridge 30 minutes before cooking. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
