For the Stir-Fry
  • 1/2 pound ground beef A rich source of protein.

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil Adds buttery richness.
  • 1 cup steamed white rice Cozy base for the dish.
For the Garlic Veggies
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Extra garlic enhances flavor.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Wash and chop all veggies. Mince the garlic finely.
  2. Measure out your sauces and seasonings.
Cooking the Beef
  1. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add sesame oil and minced garlic. Cook for about 30 seconds.
  2. Toss in the ground beef, breaking it up as it cooks for about 5–7 minutes until browned.
  3. Stir in soy sauce, chili flakes, and brown sugar. Simmer for 3–4 minutes.
Cooking the Vegetables
  1. In a separate pan, heat olive oil and add minced garlic. Cook for 30 seconds.
  2. Add sliced mushrooms and sauté for 2 minutes.
  3. Add broccoli, zucchini, and red bell pepper. Stir-fry for 4–5 minutes.
  4. Drizzle in a teaspoon of soy sauce and toss well.
Assembly
  1. To serve, place warm rice into bowls and arrange the beef and veggies on top.
  2. Spoon any extra sauce over the top.

Notes

Prep ahead by chopping veggies and storing in an airtight container. This dish can be cooked ahead of time and stored in the fridge.
