Preparation
- Run a slice of tangerine or orange around the rim of a rocks glass, and dip the rim into a mixture of cinnamon and sugar.
- In a cocktail shaker, combine the pomegranate juice, orange juice, tequila, orange liqueur, honey, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, ground ginger, and a pinch of cayenne pepper.
- Fill the shaker with ice, secure the lid, and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds.
- Strain the cocktail into your prepared rocks glass over fresh ice.
- If desired, add a splash of ginger beer for a bubbly layer of flavor.
- Finish off with a cinnamon stick and a sprig of rosemary for garnish.
Notes
Fresh juice is key for best flavor. Mix everything but the ginger beer ahead of time and store in the fridge for up to 2 days.
