Cooking Steps
- Boil a large pot of salted water and cook spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve about a cup of pasta water before draining.
- In a large skillet, pour in olive oil and heat over medium until shimmering.
- Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes to the skillet. Cook for 2-3 minutes until garlic is golden and fragrant.
- Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet and toss gently to coat with the oil and garlic. Add reserved pasta water if needed to combine.
- Sprinkle chopped parsley and season with salt. Toss until well mixed. Serve warm with grated Parmesan if desired.
