  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup You can swap for cream of chicken soup for a different taste.
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup French fried onions Add more for topping if desired.
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce (optional) Optional for added flavor.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the green beans, cream of mushroom soup, milk, soy sauce (if using), salt, and pepper.
  3. Pour the mixture into a greased casserole dish.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes.
  2. Remove from the oven and stir.
  3. Top with French fried onions.
  4. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes or until the onions are golden brown.
Serving
  1. Serve warm, paired with roasted or grilled meats, mashed potatoes, and cornbread.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for about 3 to 4 days. Reheat in the oven or microwave and consider adding more fried onions for extra crunch. For variations, consider adding cooked bacon or cheese for a richer flavor.
