Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Place the chicken breasts in the prepared baking dish in a single layer.
- In a mixing bowl, combine sour cream, 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, cornstarch, oregano, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Stir until smooth.
Assembly
- Place one slice of mozzarella cheese on top of each chicken breast.
- Spread the sour cream mixture evenly over each chicken breast, then sprinkle the remaining Parmesan cheese on top.
Cooking
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 60 minutes, until chicken reaches 165°F (74°C) and cheese is golden and bubbly.
- Allow the dish to stand for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
Use fresh herbs to enhance flavor. Adjust seasoning as preferred; adding paprika can give a nice kick. Ensure chicken breasts are evenly spaced for even cooking.
