Prepare the Baconnaise
- Cook bacon in a pan until crispy. Remove bacon, let it cool, and chop into small pieces.
- Mix chopped bacon with mayonnaise to create the baconnaise.
Cook the Burgers
- Preheat your grill or skillet over high heat.
- Form the ground beef into loose balls, about 4-6 ounces each.
- Once the skillet is hot, place the meat balls on it and immediately smash them down with a spatula.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Cook for about 2-3 minutes until crispy edges form, then flip the burgers.
- Add cheese slices on top and let it melt while finishing cooking for another 2-3 minutes.
Assemble the Burgers
- Toast the burger buns on the grill.
- Spread baconnaise on the buns, add the patty, and top with lettuce, tomato, and any other desired toppings.
Notes
Store leftovers by letting the burgers cool completely. Wrap in plastic wrap or store in an airtight container. Refrigerate for up to 3 days or freeze patties for up to 3 months without toppings.
