  • 1 lb ground beef Use fresh ground beef for best flavor.
  • 8 small taco-sized tortillas You may use larger tortillas for bigger tacos.
Toppings
  • 1 cup shredded cheese Cheddar, Monterey Jack, or pepper jack recommended.
  • 1/2 cup lettuce, shredded Crisp lettuce enhances flavor.
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes Use ripe tomatoes for best taste.
  • 1/4 cup pickles
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise Can be substituted with other sauces.
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
Seasoning
  • to taste Salt and pepper Adjust according to preference.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat a skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Divide the ground beef into 8 equal portions and shape into balls.
Cooking
  1. Place a ball in the skillet and smash it down with a spatula to create a thin patty.
  2. Season with salt and pepper and cook for about 2-3 minutes until browned.
  3. Flip the patty and add cheese on top, cooking for another 1-2 minutes until melted.
Assembly
  1. Warm the tortillas in a separate pan or microwave.
  2. Assemble tacos by placing a beef patty in each tortilla and topping with lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, mayonnaise, and mustard.
  3. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

For extra flavor, consider grilling the patties. You can also serve the tacos with additional toppings like hot sauce or avocado.
