Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2 oz Tequila Opt for 100% agave for the best flavor.
  • 1 oz Lime juice Use fresh limes or bottled lime juice if unavailable.
  • 1 oz Triple sec
  • Salt for rimming the glass Flaky sea salt or kosher salt adheres better.
  • Ice Chilled for the drink.
  • Lime wedge for garnish For garnish and extra flavor.

Method

Preparation
  1. Begin by rimming your glass with salt. Take a lime wedge and run it around the edge of your glass, then dip it in salt to coat the rim evenly.
  2. In a cocktail shaker, pour in 2 oz of tequila, 1 oz of lime juice, and 1 oz of triple sec.
  3. Fill the shaker with ice, cover it, and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds, until well combined and chilled.
  4. Strain the mixture into your prepared glass filled with ice for an 'on the rocks' version. If you prefer a frozen margarita, blend the mixture with ice until smooth.
  5. Finish with a lime wedge on the rim for garnish and serve immediately.

Notes

Serve chilled alongside light snacks like tortilla chips and salsa. Refrigerate leftovers for up to 2 days in an airtight container.
