- Begin by rimming your glass with salt. Take a lime wedge and run it around the edge of your glass, then dip it in salt to coat the rim evenly.
- In a cocktail shaker, pour in 2 oz of tequila, 1 oz of lime juice, and 1 oz of triple sec.
- Fill the shaker with ice, cover it, and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds, until well combined and chilled.
- Strain the mixture into your prepared glass filled with ice for an 'on the rocks' version. If you prefer a frozen margarita, blend the mixture with ice until smooth.
- Finish with a lime wedge on the rim for garnish and serve immediately.
