Ingredients

Brownie Ingredients
  • 1.75 cups unbleached all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cups unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 2 cups organic cane sugar
  • 5 large eggs
  • 1 cup Canola oil (or vegetable oil)
  • 1 teaspoon organic vanilla extract
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate morsels
Optional Toppings
  • 1-2 tablespoons confectioner’s sugar For sprinkling
  • store-bought icing in green or white For decorating

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Grease a 13 inch x 9 inch brownie pan and set aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, mix all the dry ingredients (flour, cocoa powder, kosher salt, and sugar) except for the chocolate chips until combined.
  4. In a 2-cup wet measuring cup, combine Canola oil, vanilla extract, and eggs using an electric mixer. Avoid overmixing.
  5. Manually mix in the chocolate morsels.
Baking
  1. Pour the batter into the greased brownie pan and spread it evenly.
  2. Bake for 25 minutes, checking for doneness with a toothpick or butter knife. If needed, leave for another 5 minutes, but do not exceed 30 minutes.
  3. Allow to cool for 5-10 minutes.
Cutting and Serving
  1. Cut into shamrock shapes using a cookie cutter and optionally sprinkle with confectioner’s sugar or outline with icing.
  2. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

For easier cutting, let the brownies cool completely before using the cookie cutter. If you don’t have a shamrock cookie cutter, you can use any shape you like. Add a pinch of espresso powder to the batter to enhance the chocolate flavor. Experiment with different toppings, such as nuts or sprinkles, for a personalized touch.
