Cocktail Ingredients
  • 12 ounces frozen lemon sorbet or lemon gelato or lemon ice cream Use high-quality for the best flavor.
  • 8 ounces Prosecco Chill before mixing.
  • 2 ounces chilled vodka Chill before mixing.
  • Mint leaves for garnish For a fresh touch.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Scoop the sorbet into a large bowl.
  2. Add one-half of the Prosecco and whisk until you have a smooth icy mixture.
  3. Whisk in the cold vodka and the remaining Prosecco until the cocktail is very slushy.
  4. Pour into champagne flutes or other cocktail glasses.
  5. Garnish with fresh mint and a few blueberries.
  6. If serving as a dessert, place a scoop of lemon sorbet in a parfait glass or white wine glass and pour the sgroppino cocktail over it.

Notes

Sgroppino is best enjoyed fresh. Store the undiluted mixture (sorbet and vodka) in the freezer for a short time. Give it a good whisk again before serving. Experiment with different flavors of sorbet for a fun twist.
