Main Ingredients
  • 1 cup full fat Greek yogurt Use full fat for the best results.
  • 1 cup self-rising flour You can make your own if you don't have this.
  • 1 large egg white or 1 Tablespoon liquid egg whites Brushing with egg whites helps seasoning stick.
  • to taste Everything Bagel Seasoning Feel free to experiment with different seasonings.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the Greek yogurt and self-rising flour. Mix until a shaggy dough forms, then transfer it to a floured surface.
  3. Knead the dough with your hands for 2-3 minutes until it is smooth and no longer sticky.
  4. Divide the dough into 4 equal portions.
  5. Roll each portion into a log, then shape it into a circle to form a bagel. Press the ends together to seal.
Baking
  1. Brush each bagel all over with egg whites to help the seasoning stick and give them a golden finish when baked.
  2. Sprinkle the tops of the bagels generously with Everything Bagel Seasoning.
  3. Place the bagels on the prepared baking sheet and bake for about 25 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  4. Allow the bagels to cool for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

Protein Bagels can be served plain or with toppings like cream cheese, avocado, or smoked salmon. Store in an airtight container for up to 2 days at room temperature, up to a week in the fridge, or up to a month in the freezer.
