  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped Parsley can be used as a substitute.
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice Fresh lime juice is best, but bottled works in a pinch.

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the diced tomatoes, onion, jalapeño, and cilantro. Stir gently to combine.
  2. Pour in the fresh lime juice and sprinkle with salt.
  3. Mix well and let it sit for about 15 minutes to allow flavors to meld together.

Notes

For extra flavor, chill in the fridge for up to an hour before serving. Use a serrated knife to cut tomatoes for better results.
