  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened Make sure the butter is at room temperature.
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Dry Ingredients
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
Add-ins

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet prepared with parchment paper.
Baking
  1. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
  2. Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

To keep your cookies fresh, store them in an airtight container at room temperature for about a week. For longer storage, freeze them in a freezer bag for up to three months. For best taste and texture, serve warm with a glass of milk or coffee.
