Preparation
- Crush the Oreo cookies into fine crumbs using a food processor. Pulse for about 30 seconds or until achieving a sandy texture.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the crushed Oreos with the softened cream cheese. Mix until well incorporated and forms a consistent dough.
- Roll the mixture into small balls, about 1-inch in diameter, and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Transfer the baking sheet to the freezer and let the balls chill for approximately 30 minutes until firm.
Coating
- Melt the white chocolate or vanilla candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl, heating in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth.
- Once firm, dip each ball into the melted chocolate, allowing excess chocolate to drip off before placing it back on the baking sheet.
- Decorate dipped balls with red and blue sprinkles or add a few drops of food coloring to the melted chocolate before coating.
Serving
- Allow the chocolate to set and harden for about 10-15 minutes at room temperature before serving.
