Ingredients
  

Noodles and Sauce
  • 8 oz chow mein noodles Cooked according to package instructions
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil For stir-frying
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce For flavor
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce Enhances umami flavor
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil For extra flavor
Vegetables
  • 1 cup shredded cabbage Fresh or pre-packaged
  • 1 cup bean sprouts Fresh for best crunch
  • 1/2 cup carrots, sliced Freshly sliced
  • 3 pieces green onions, chopped For garnish and flavor
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced For flavor

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Cook the chow mein noodles according to package instructions and drain.
  2. In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds.
Cooking
  1. Add the cabbage, carrots, and bean sprouts; stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until the vegetables are tender.
  2. Add the cooked noodles to the skillet and toss to combine.
  3. Pour in the soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sesame oil. Stir until everything is well coated.
  4. Add chopped green onions and toss again.
  5. Remove from heat and serve hot.

Notes

Garnish with extra green onions or sesame seeds for added flavor and presentation. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
