  • 8 oz chow mein noodles
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 cup cabbage, shredded
  • 1 cup carrots, julienned
  • 1/2 cup onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons green onions, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation
  1. Cook chow mein noodles according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet or wok, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add garlic and onions; sauté until fragrant.
  3. Add cabbage and carrots; cook for about 3-4 minutes until vegetables are tender.
  4. Stir in cooked chow mein noodles, soy sauce, and oyster sauce. Toss to combine.
  5. Add green onions and season with salt and pepper. Cook for another 2 minutes. Serve hot.

Notes

Serve these fried noodles on a large plate or in individual bowls. They pair well with any protein, such as chicken, beef, or tofu. You can also add additional green onions or sesame seeds on top for extra flavor and crunch. To store leftovers, let them cool completely and place them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
