  • 4 cups sliced apples Use a variety of apples for more flavor; sweet and tart apples like Granny Smith or Honeycrisp work great.
  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats Make sure they are gluten-free if necessary.
  • 1/2 cup coconut oil (melted) Can substitute with butter or ghee if desired.
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup Adjust the sweetness to your taste.
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix the sliced apples with cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Spread the apples evenly in a baking dish.
  3. In another bowl, combine almond flour, rolled oats, melted coconut oil, and honey or maple syrup until the mixture is crumbly.
  4. Sprinkle the crumbly mixture over the apples in the baking dish.
Baking
  1. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the topping is golden brown and the apples are tender.
  2. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for about 3-4 days. Reheat in the oven or microwave before serving. For a cozy experience, pair with coconut ice cream or whipped coconut cream.
