  • 0.5 cup rolled oats Steel-cut oats can be used but will yield a chewier texture.
  • 0.5 medium banana, mashed Can swap with applesauce or other fruit puree for variation.
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds Flax seeds can be used as a substitute, but texture may differ.

Preparation
  1. Combine the almond milk, rolled oats, mashed banana, and chia seeds in a 1-pint jar. Leave some space at the top as the mixture will expand.
  2. Cap the jar with a lid and shake for about 30 seconds until well combined.
  3. Transfer the jar to the refrigerator and let it chill overnight or for at least 8 hours.
Serving
  1. When ready to enjoy, take the jar out of the fridge. These oats are best served cold, but can be warmed if desired.
  2. Layer in a bowl and top with sliced bananas, cinnamon, or a drizzle of honey for added flavor.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-5 days. Frozen portions can last for a month; thaw in the fridge overnight. Consider adding toppings like nuts, seeds, or fresh fruits for added variety.
