  • grated Parmesan cheese For added flavor.
  • red pepper flakes For a spicy kick.
  • fresh parsley For garnish.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or grease it.
  2. Remove any wilted outer leaves from the cabbage and slice it into 3/4-inch thick rounds.
  3. In a bowl, mix together the olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, onion powder, thyme, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Brush the mixture generously onto both sides of each cabbage steak.
  5. Place the cabbage steaks on the baking sheet, leaving space between them.
Cooking
  1. Roast for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the edges are golden brown and crispy.
  2. Let cool for a couple of minutes before adding any optional toppings.
  3. Serve immediately. For the air fryer option: Preheat to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Slice and season cabbage as above, then air fry for 10-15 minutes, flipping halfway through.

Notes

Ensure even slices of cabbage for consistent cooking. Customize seasoning to personal taste and prepare ahead of time if needed.
