Ingredients

For the ribs
  • 4 lbs pork ribs Look for high-quality ribs
For the spice rub
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce Feel free to make your own BBQ sauce
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix paprika, brown sugar, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder until uniform.
  3. Rub the spice mixture all over the ribs for maximum flavor.
Baking
  1. Place the ribs on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil and cover with another piece of foil.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours until tender.
  3. Check at the 2.5-hour mark; the meat should be easily pierced with a fork.
  4. Remove the ribs and discard the top foil.
  5. Brush BBQ sauce generously over the ribs.
  6. Return to the oven uncovered and bake for an additional 30 minutes.
Serving
  1. Let the ribs rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Serve with coleslaw, corn on the cob, or baked beans. Offer extra BBQ sauce and consider garnishing with fresh parsley.
