Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C).
- In a bowl, combine brown sugar, paprika, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder to create the dry rub.
- Generously rub the spice mixture over the ribs, covering every nook and cranny.
- Place the seasoned ribs on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil and cover tightly with another sheet of foil.
Cooking
- Bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours.
- Remove the ribs and increase the oven temperature to 400°F (200°C).
- Brush barbecue sauce over both sides of the ribs.
- Return the ribs to the oven (uncovered) for an additional 30 minutes, basting with more barbecue sauce halfway through.
- Once finished, let the ribs sit for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
Ensure to cover the ribs tightly with foil to keep them juicy. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
