  • 2 bundles fresh asparagus, trimmed
  • 2 tsp olive oil
  • ½ to 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Line a large baking sheet with aluminum foil or parchment paper.
  3. Place the trimmed asparagus in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Drizzle olive oil over the asparagus and toss gently to coat.
  5. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and garlic powder to taste.
Baking
  1. Bake the asparagus in the preheated oven for 10 to 12 minutes or until tender and begin to brown at the tips.
  2. Remove from the oven and sprinkle the hot asparagus with freshly grated Parmesan cheese.
  3. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 2 to 4 minutes until the cheese melts and becomes bubbly.
