Ingredients
  

Wet Ingredients
  • 3 large bananas Use overripe for best flavor.
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter Melted.
  • 2/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs Room temperature.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Dry Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour Can substitute half with whole wheat for a healthier option.
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan and set it aside.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, mash the bananas with a fork or a potato masher until smooth.
  3. Add the melted butter to the mashed bananas and whisk until well combined.
  4. Stir in the granulated sugar, room temperature eggs, and vanilla extract. Whisk until mixed well.
  5. In the same bowl, add the all-purpose flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. Fold gently until just combined. Do not overmix.
Baking
  1. Pour the batter into your greased loaf pan.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven for about 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  3. Once baked, let it sit on the counter for 5-10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Serve plain, or with butter or cream cheese. Pairs well with coffee, tea, or milk. Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
