Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 3 ½ cups All-Purpose Flour Standard flour works wonders here, giving the focaccia its soft texture.
  • 1 ½ cups Warm Water This is crucial for activating the yeast.
  • 2 ¼ teaspoons Instant Yeast No need to proof it beforehand.
  • 1 teaspoon Salt Adds flavor and strengthens the dough.
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil For that gorgeous crust and rich taste.
  • to taste Sea Salt A finishing touch to bring out flavors.

Method

Mix the Dough
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, instant yeast, and salt. Gradually add the warm water and 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Stir until you get a shaggy dough.
Let It Rise
  1. Cover your bowl with a clean kitchen towel and let it sit in a warm area of your kitchen for about 1 hour or until it doubles in size.
Assemble in the Pan
  1. Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan with olive oil. Gently transfer your risen dough to the pan, allowing it to stretch naturally. Drizzle a little more olive oil on top, and give it a good poke with your fingers.
Second Rise
  1. Cover it again for about 20-30 minutes. Feel free to add your favorite toppings during this time!
Bake
  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Bake the focaccia for about 20-25 minutes or until it’s beautifully golden brown.
Cool and Enjoy
  1. Let it cool slightly in the pan before transferring it to a wire rack. Slice into squares and enjoy!

Notes

Keep ingredients at room temperature for better yeast activation. Experiment with toppings for enhanced flavor.
