- In a pot, combine the white wine, rum, and honey or sugar.
- Add the sliced orange, cinnamon sticks, cloves, star anise, and apple cider if using.
- Warm the mixture over medium heat until it's hot but not boiling.
- Reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for 10-15 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
- Strain the mixture into glasses and serve warm.
Notes
Serve in heatproof glasses or mugs, garnishing with a slice of orange or a cinnamon stick. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Reheat gently before serving.
