Preparation and Mixing
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 4×8 inch loaf pan.
- In a mixing bowl, use a fork to mash the ripe bananas until smooth.
- Stir the melted butter into the mashed bananas until well-combined and creamy.
- Mix in the baking soda and a pinch of salt.
- Stir in the sugar, followed by the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until cohesive.
- Mix in the flour gradually until just incorporated.
- Fold in the chocolate chips gently.
Baking
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.
- Bake for 60-65 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
