Preparation
- Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
Cooking
- Add the chicken breasts and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add diced tomatoes and bring to a simmer.
- Stir in heavy cream and parmesan cheese until melted and well combined.
- Return the chicken to the skillet, spooning the sauce over the top.
- Cook for an additional 5 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh basil before serving.
Notes
To store leftovers, place the chicken and sauce in an airtight container. It can be kept in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat gently on the stovetop or in the microwave.
