  • 8 ounces short pasta (penne, rotini, or elbow macaroni)
  • 1 pound ground beef (can substitute with ground turkey or chicken) Use lean ground beef to reduce fat.
Dairy and Seasoning
  • 6 slices bacon (cooked and crispy) Crumble before adding.
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese Can substitute with other cheese types.
  • 4 ounces cream cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Cook the pasta according to the package directions. Drain and set aside.
Cooking
  1. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until fully browned. Drain any excess fat.
  2. Add the garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper to the beef. Stir well to combine.
  3. Now, add the cream cheese and shredded cheddar cheese to the beef. Stir until the cheeses melt and create a creamy sauce.
  4. Crumble the crispy bacon and mix it into the pasta and beef sauce.
  5. Finally, add the cooked pasta to the skillet. Mix everything together until the pasta is well coated with the cheesy sauce.

Notes

Serve hot with extra cheese on top for cheese lovers. A sprinkle of chopped green onions or parsley can add freshness. Pair with a salad or garlic bread for a complete meal.
