Preparation of Layers
- Prepare the Red Layer: In a mixing bowl, dissolve the red Jello in 1 cup of boiling water. Stir for 2-3 minutes until fully dissolved. Add 1/2 cup of cold water and 1/2 cup of vodka, mixing thoroughly. Pour the mixture into shot glasses (or cups), filling them about one-third full. Place the shots in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours, or until fully set.
- Make the White Layer: In a separate bowl, combine the unflavored gelatin with 1 cup of boiling water, stirring until dissolved. Add 1/2 cup of cold water and 1/2 cup of vodka, mixing well. Once the red layer is set, carefully pour the white mixture on top of the red, filling the shot glasses about one-third of the way again. Return to the refrigerator for another 1-2 hours until set.
- Finish with the Blue Layer: Repeat the process for the blue Jello. Once the white layer has set, pour the blue mixture on top and refrigerate for another 1-2 hours.
- Serve: Once all layers are set, top with a dollop of whipped cream for an extra touch.
