Preparation
- Heat a large soup pot or Dutch oven over medium-high heat and add the light olive oil.
- Sauté the onion and garlic for 2-3 minutes or until tender.
- Add the ground beef and cook until brown, crumbling it as it cooks, around 4-5 minutes.
- Pour in the marinara sauce, beef broth, Italian seasoning, ground cinnamon, salt, and black pepper to taste.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and let it simmer for a couple of minutes.
- Add the broken lasagna noodles and simmer until al dente, about 8 minutes.
- Remove from heat and stir in the heavy cream and cheeses until melted.
- Check the seasoning and add salt if needed. Serve hot.
Notes
Serve with garlic bread or a side salad. For extra flavor, use homemade marinara sauce, and feel free to add vegetables like spinach or zucchini. Adjust seasoning to your preference.
