Equipment

  • Broiler Pan

Ingredients

Marinade

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 tsp salt or to taste
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper freshly ground

Main

  • 2 lbs London Broil round steak

Instructions

  • In a bowl or zip-top bag, combine soy sauce, lemon juice, olive oil, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  • Add the London broil steak and ensure it is well-coated in the marinade. Seal and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or up to 8 hours.
  • Remove steak from fridge about 20 minutes before cooking to bring to room temperature. Preheat the broiler and set rack 4–6 inches from heat.
  • Place the steak on a broiler pan or foil-lined baking sheet. Broil for 5–7 minutes per side, depending on thickness and preferred doneness.
  • Let the steak rest for 10 minutes. Slice thinly against the grain and serve.

Notes

For extra flavor, reserve some marinade before adding the steak and simmer it to drizzle over the finished meat. Try flavor variations like balsamic vinegar or ginger for a twist!
