Banana Bread Batter
  • 3 ripe bananas mashed
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 large egg beaten
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan with butter or non-stick spray.
  2. In a large bowl, mash the bananas until smooth.
  3. Mix in the melted butter, sugar, and beaten egg until well combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined. Do not overmix.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.

Notes

For extra flavor, add 1 teaspoon of cinnamon or mix in chocolate chips or walnuts before baking.
