- Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan with butter or non-stick spray.
- In a large bowl, mash the bananas until smooth.
- Mix in the melted butter, sugar, and beaten egg until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
Notes
For extra flavor, add 1 teaspoon of cinnamon or mix in chocolate chips or walnuts before baking.
