Ingredients

  • 1 package puff pastry
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 10-12 pieces jalapeños, halved and seeded Remove seeds for less heat.
  • 1 package cocktail wieners
  • 1 egg beaten (for egg wash)
  • to taste Salt and pepper

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut it into squares.
  3. In a bowl, mix the cream cheese, shredded cheddar, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  4. Stuff each jalapeño half with the cheese mixture and wrap a cocktail wiener in each stuffed jalapeño.
  5. Place the wrapped jalapeños on the pastry squares and fold to encase them.
  6. Brush the tops with the beaten egg for a nice golden finish.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.

Notes

These treats are best served warm. Consider adding dips like ranch or sriracha sauce for extra flavor. If you have leftovers, allow them to cool completely and store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven for a few minutes to regain crispiness.
