Preparation
- Preheat your air fryer to 375°F.
- Pat the chicken dry with paper towels to help the coating stick better.
- In a bowl, mix together the panko breadcrumbs, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, salt, and black pepper.
- Lightly spray the chicken with olive oil to help the coating adhere.
- Press the chicken into the coating mixture until it is fully covered.
- Place the chicken in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
Cooking
- Cook the chicken for 10 minutes, then flip it.
- Cook for another 8-10 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
- Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
Ensure the chicken skin is dry for a crispier coating. Don’t overcrowd the air fryer basket; cook in batches if necessary. For more flavor, marinate the chicken a few hours before cooking.
