  • 4 pieces Chicken breasts or thighs (bone-in, skin-on preferred)
  • Olive oil spray For coating
Coating Mixture
  • 1 cup Panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 tablespoon Paprika (smoked or sweet)
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Dried thyme or Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black pepper

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F.
  2. Pat the chicken dry with paper towels to help the coating stick better.
  3. In a bowl, mix together the panko breadcrumbs, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Lightly spray the chicken with olive oil to help the coating adhere.
  5. Press the chicken into the coating mixture until it is fully covered.
  6. Place the chicken in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
Cooking
  1. Cook the chicken for 10 minutes, then flip it.
  2. Cook for another 8-10 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  3. Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

Ensure the chicken skin is dry for a crispier coating. Don’t overcrowd the air fryer basket; cook in batches if necessary. For more flavor, marinate the chicken a few hours before cooking.
