  • 1 package (14.3 oz) Oreo cookies (about 36 cookies)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened Make sure it is at room temperature for easier mixing.
  • 1 to 2 tsp Irish cream liqueur (optional) or 1 tsp vanilla extract (for non-alcoholic version) Adjust the amount based on taste preference.
  • 12 oz green candy melts (or white chocolate with green food coloring) You can use other types of chocolate if preferred.
  • Assorted green, white, and orange sprinkles for decoration Experiment with colors to match the occasion.

Preparation
  1. Crush the Oreos in a food processor or ziplock bag.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the crushed Oreos with softened cream cheese and mix until a sticky dough forms. Add Irish cream liqueur if desired.
  3. Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.
Forming and Coating
  1. Once chilled, roll the mixture into small balls and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  2. Chill again for 15 to 20 minutes.
  3. Melt green candy melts according to package instructions.
  4. Dip each ball into the melted coating and tap off excess.
  5. While the coating is wet, decorate with sprinkles.
  6. Let the truffles sit at room temperature or refrigerate until the chocolate coating sets.

Notes

These truffles are great for sharing or giving as gifts. Store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for about a week, or freeze them separated by parchment paper.
