Preparation
- Gather all ingredients.
- Combine the 3 cups of water and 1 cup of steel-cut oats in your Instant Pot. Ensure the lid is securely closed and locked.
Cooking
- Select the high-pressure function according to your manufacturer’s instructions and set the timer for 3 minutes. It will take about 10 to 15 minutes for the pressure to build before cooking starts.
- Once the cooking time is up, release pressure using the natural-release method following your manufacturer's guidelines, which can take anywhere from 10 to 40 minutes.
Serving
- Serve the oats warm with a drizzle of honey or syrup, and pair with fruit salad or orange juice.
- Garnish with toppings like chopped nuts, shredded coconut, or a sprinkle of cinnamon.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to one week. For longer storage, freeze portions in freezer-safe containers and reheat with a splash of water.
